Daughter wants a 12inch MacBook for Uni = not interested in non Mac machines - anyone recommend a good refurb source - John Lewis had them new for £800 (256 model) but are out of stock now

To be honest you would be better getting an Air.
I do like the looks of the 12" MacBook and I had an original 12"iBook and loved it, but the Air is a lot more powerful.

TBH I can get a 2017 Air with a 2 year warranty and 0% finance for £770 from John Lewis so it may be a better option
