Just lost our 1 year old cat - a lovely white/grey ragdoll.

Run over by a car this morning.  Post on the village facebook, found a lovely creamy white cat with grey tips dead on a road a few gardens width away - I was in work, so tested wife and she drove round. He was ours. Gutted.

The breeder is local and she is in bits too. He's a pedigree but has always wanted to be out and in etc. He is like a yoyo.

Fortunately my wife got there quickly, but he had gone. At least we've been able to bury him in his favourite place in the garden (under the trampoline - he demolished the netting with his swinging from it).

So gutted as that's my animal killed by farkin drivers after my spine was smashed two years ago, and that's ended my road riding - I so hate cars now.

We've always had moggies as cats but this one was our 4th, but a pedigree from someone local. Really gutted as he was more like a dog, followed you round, watched what you were upto in the man cave, and loved a fuss.

God do I hate cars now.....   ex bad ass roadie, turned MTB'er.

RIP Mtoto, the dog cat !

We had a ‘dogcat’ so I very much understand the loss of that in your life.  They are special.

Take care and thinking of you.

Feel for you Fossy. It's bad enough when theyr'e old & die of old age/natural causes but stuff like this is far worse.

I had to rehome my gorgeous Fox Red Lab last year cos of my wife's illness & I'm still more gutted about that than any other pet I've lost.

I’ve lost three cats to traffic 🙁 luckily the latest one is not interested in going outside, we’ve had him 11 years and he was about 8 when we got him.

Old lad is doing ok but i’m dreading the inevitable which will probably be sooner than i’d like

Hate losing pets. Miss our three dogcats, one died peacefully on the bed, the other two went outside and never returned. All three of them were 18 year old.

Will be sad when my dogpythons pass away, but they are all teenagers at the moment, so good 15 years left in them.

My yellow lab, Leo, was pretty much my best friend. I was absolutely gutted when he died. The most affectionate, funny and gentle dog I’ve ever had the pleasure to live with. Took him out for his last walk in a wheelbarrow before the vet came around to put him to sleep. Carrying him to the van afterwards was heartbreaking.
