Can anybody suggest a quick to use and simple tool to copy pdf content and place into a word doc. I tried the microsoft insert function but it screws up the typeset on the pdf. Thinking the best option is to copy and paste as a jpg or similar. Using Fn + Print Screen then cropping in paint is too cumbersome. Any ideas? Ta

Nitro PDF pro does it.

I got it on a free trial for a PDF I needed to edit in Word.

Think it's 30 days free then £80.

Yep,

Use the Snapshot tool in Adobe Reader: Tools>Select and Zoom>Snapshot

You can then select the bit you want, and Adobe copies it to your clipboard as a .jpg. Then just paste it into the Word Doc.

Imgur add-on for Firefox lets you selectively cut n paste images, bypassing the print-screen into MS Paint then crop malarkey

excellent, thanks. No need to edit (I hope) so straight copy and paste. Will check 'em both out in the morning.

If you have Acrobat you can export as a Word file. If you don't, email it to me and I will have a go in the morning. Depending on how it was created it is often a pretty accurate conversion.

Will Google Docs not do that conversion for you, or can it only handle simple stuff?

Edit: Just tried it. It handled a property sales brochures with fonts, logos and photos just fine. Upload PDF to Google Docs (now Google Drive), convert it to GD format, then download as a Word document

some of the pdf content contains flow charts so conversion software normally gets stumped, thinking my best option is to paste in as a jpg. Will try out the above in the morning. Thanks again
