Hit me with some recommendations please folks, as the title says. Want something with long sleeves but not thermal, anything less than £50

I have literally just received this one from Wiggle. Didn't seem like there was a whole lot of choice out there that was explicitly non-thermal, plus the price was right!

https://www.wiggle.co.uk/funkier-strike-summer-long-sleeve-jersey/

not actually worn it on a ride yet but it fits (sleeves possibly a touch too long but better that than too short) & quality seems OK. Full zip as well which I like!

Bought it to keep the sun off as I burn easily & got a few long road rides coming up, should do the job I reckon. Label claims UPF 50+ as well. ☀️😎

Try sports direct or trespass, if you're not looking for roadie fit. Plenty of lightweight long sleeve running/hiking shirts.

Long sleeve wicking top (like the cheap planet X ones?) under the usual short sleeved jersey?

The sale rack in pretty much any bike shop is your friend. And manufacturer stands at bike event villages. That's where most of my long sleeve stuff comes from anyway, usually at well under £50.00.

I use Salomon jerseys. They come up cheap in the Salomon outlet, on Runners Need and the last one I bought was off SportsDirect. Top quality, the base layers are like a second skin too.
eg - https://www.sportsdirect.com/salomon-fast-wing-zip-top-mens-452167?colcode=45216718
Note that they are pretty thin and light, most definitely not thermal!

Due to the length of my arms I long gave up n this idea and now just use lightweight arm warmers. It's the best solution IMO.

I bought a long sleeve jersey from the GMBN website a year ago. Great fit, nice colours, not too exoensive, and does not make me get hot in any way.

Same here. The only long sleeve road top i've got is an old Rapha and it rarely gets worn.

I have a great Endura one. Covers the arms. Loose and comfy but never feels warm

I'll look at the label when you get home if your interested in what it is

as is traditional on STW slightly over budget but will last years and is designed for riding in the sun love mine

https://www.groundeffect.co.nz/collections/mens-summer-jerseys ...a Rock Lobster is what you need

think you can get a discount as new customer puts back nearer budget max but not sure if that just then covers the postage from NZ

(no relation)

If you could ampthill that would be great! The ground effect jersey looks perfect though! How do they measure up size wise? Long way to send something back

I have one of the Madison RoadRace long sleeve ones. I've worn it a couple of times and it's a lovely piece of kit. However I much prefer a short sleeve jersey with arm warmers for the added versatility, especially as most of my riding is commuting. Warmers on in the morning, bare arms in the evening.

agree hate ordering clothes on line though my teens just order 3 sizes/styles and then throw at me to send back!

I'm normally a medium and my medium rocklobster is loose on me but not flappy def' not italian sizing if that makes sense

Dakine make a few nice long sleeve jerseys and considerably under 50 quid.

I have the Dropout and it's ace.  Casual looks but with tech fabric that doesn't get too stinky due to the silver in it or something.
