[Closed] Anyone live in central Brighton with a parking space?
Need to use a space 9th May on for 3 days, close to centre/seafront as possible, nice donation made of course, anyone? Cheers
Wow, you can tell you're not from Brighton.Nobody has a parking space
...and if they did, they'd be renting it out for 10,000 quid a year.
The Great Escape?
Check out the your parking space app. Used it for a stay in Brighton a while ago. We got cheap use of a space round the back of the Phoenix art building near St. Peter’s church. Was waaaaay cheaper than the NCPs etc.
Do you need to park right in the centre? There are no parking restrictions north of bear road on the Lewes road.
Yes Great Escape again. NCP £90, parking aps around £60, so just testing on the off chance to see if we can get cheaper than the latter before we book one. Cheers
TBH, I would find somewhere out of town with no parking restrictions and bus in ... Brighton parking is a nightmare.
The Upper Lewis Road is bandit country ....
there's a park and ride in brighton.
Use the buses, I live on the edge of Brighton and it's a much better option than parking.
Park outside of town and either take one of the many bus routes in, or cycle (either your own bike or one of the hire scheme bikes).
Parking out near Rottingdean and then riding along under the cliffs past the marina and Madera Drive is quite pleasant. You can pick up a bike from either Rottingdean or the Marina. Taxi/bus back to the car if late.
Yes, park away from the centre where there's no restrictions.
The local residents love that there's hundreds of cars and vans abandoned on residential streets for a long weekend by people who are too stingy to pay for parking.
Also, please make sure it's parked slightly across someone's drive or making getting round a blind corner on a narrow road a bit tricky.
Try justpark
The station car park isn't ridiculously expensive IIRC?
Multi story at the Marina and a good bus service into town.
Erm, I live in shoreham. Around the station in shoreham there are no parking retrictions. Much to my annoyance ....
But a return ticket to BTN is 4.20 GBP ...
Park and ride is great.
I parked in regency square last time, £18 a day whcih is astronomical obviously, but not too bad for brighton seafront i didnt think. Bugger to get a space though, waited for a good long time.

Same. When I lived near there I was always having confrontations with commuters and workers in the town who thought it fine to park halfway across my drive for the day.
In answer to the OP, I'd park out of town and bus/train in. It'll be much cheaper
Trouble is I'd be happy to bus/train in as only need money, phone & toothbrush etc but certain passengers take what looks like enough for a 3 month Everest expedition, not 3 days in Brighton. Think we have found somewhere now for £36 for 3 days which is okay. Cheers for suggestions.
I park one road over from Preston Park where the parking restrictions end, I normally city bike it in from there but several bus stops as well or preston park station
I live at the top of Ditchling Rd. Buses every 15 mins are £2 into town. Loads of space for your car if you want to leave it here.
