[#1641000]

I've been commuting from Waterloo to Wapping and back for three weeks now on a three-geared Brompton called "Ramone".

I've got used to the cultural shift - red lights are advisory only, "no turning" means "ignore this sign", pedestrians crossing ahead means "aim for the gap" and so on...

Now I know what it's like to ride like a bike courier.

So slap me!! ๐Ÿ˜†

South of the river, then over Tower Bridge. Kicking off the lights to get round the Imax is completely mental. Generally 08:15ish from the station. Face mask. Olive green "Dirty Habit" peaked cap...

the novelty and excitement will wear off eventually and you'll end up screaming at and aiming for the pedestrians, not the gap between them, jus to see what happens

Charlton to Whitechapel for me today

Charlton to Paddington tomorrow

Gotta love the northside of blackfriars. What a deathtrap. Still much better than the tube / train / bus though!

Yep, all sounds about right, now you need to do it for 50 hours a week without any accidents, i've managed 4 1/2 years so far without a single crash (Switzerland and riding to pissed has taken care of that) Yesterday was getting a bit much in the heat, but it's all good fun! Riding in London is quite mental really. ๐Ÿ˜€

I genuinely like riding in the city... it's my adrenaline sport of choice 8)

and riding to pissed has taken care of that

It's even better when you're off your tree and can't remember how you got home ๐Ÿ˜†
