Johnny Pondo has died. This means nothing to everyone on here. He used to be a bit of a local football hero. Then took to the bike, riding up and down this street all day in his wellies and a red wooly hat, everyday 5 or 6 hrs a day annoying traffic.. It's a bit sad to know that he won't be riding up and down any more. Just wanted to put that out there, RIP Pondo. Anyone else got some local cycling characters?

thats real sad-- one of life's eccentrics-- he was a very talented footballer in his younger days--bolton i beleive, but as you say kev, an eternal moving fixture on the road between llandudno junction , deganwy, and llandudno-- he would occasionally wander further afield, and would be singing along, or just stoop somewhere random for his own version of tai chi! Big up the Pondo !

Big up Pondo indeed. Nice to know someone else knew his style Rudebwoy. I never came across his dancing. The guy was a proper eccentric type cyclist. Bye mate ๐Ÿ™
