I sat through yet another feature length episode of this last night with the missus and after about 90 minutes it started to dawn on me… a slow creeping realisation… it is utter utter rubbish. Always has been. Always will be.
It was like a Road to Damascus moment. How many Sunday evenings have I wasted watching this tosh?
Does anybody else think the same way or am I just a grumpy old ####?

My Mrs sits down to watch it, gets half way though then gets bored, don't think we have ever watched a full Lewis or Morse, ever!
Every week its the same, I think she hopes it will get better, but it never seems too!

Many years ago I was watching an episode of Frost - the baddy holed up hiding somewhere and not going anywhere. Back up on the way. So all Frost had to do was sit tight till the cavalry arrived and then wander in ... "hello son you're nicked". But no, off he trots to confront the baddy on his won so they could have a chase scene.
Oh and Ashes to Ashes S3 is pants but I still watch it.
I used to enjoy Morse, though now I find it unwatchable, and Kevin W was usually my favourite character, so I'm willing to cut him some slack, but despite the high production values, I'm finding myself less than captivated - though as something to watch when exhausted after a demanding Sunday ride it's harmless enough :o)
