Had some Brewdog Hoppy Christmas last weekend, nice. Also some "St. Bernadus Christmas Ale", despite being 10% it wasn't bad:

(Prefer the Brewdog IPA though...)

Nothing to do with Christmas at all, but I've been enjoying Skull Splitter recently. High abv but very very tasty. Good thing it comes in small bottles.

We're going over to the inlaws in Scotland, I'm not risking out of date Tennents so have put myself in charge of beer, this taking pride of place;

Most of the beer styles posted above have been around for centuries, it's just only more recently that the general public have been sufficiently educated to realise that there's better quality stuff out there than the pisswater they've been fed for years by large commercial breweries.

Need to get down the Wellington for some of that Houns!

Have had a couple of these this week, quite nice with a festive hint of cinnamon:

Just collected a mini cask (8.8 pints) of Silver King from Ossett Brewery, just need to wait 24hrs for it to settle.

Ton, tried their Raspberry blonde a few weeks back really nice, didn't realise they did mini casks too, although it's bit of a trek to get over there for me.

I've been off the beer for a few years due to coeliac disease, just started reconning the available gluten free options so will be on the hambleton ales GFL (best lager I have ever tasted, GF or not) and the Greens Supreme Golden Ale, which I've not tried yet

Mmmm beer, how I missed you.

King of Biscuits, I don't suppose you're in Glasgow? I've called almost every beer shop in town trying to find somewhere that still has Anchor Christmas Ale in stock with no luck 🙁

Unfortunately not peterfile. I'm lucky enough to live near the adult sweet shop/most excellent off licence http://www.beerritz.co.uk

Give 'em a ring and see if they have any left.
