Has anyone seen this? A bunch of former Nokia engineers are looking to get a new GPS watch onto the market, if they get the funding via kickstarter, with a possible release in the summer.

I reckon if it was a sensible price, or less than the 910XT, I could be very tempted to pick one up. As it combines the build of a Garmin with the software/upgradability of a smartphone. Good timing, as I was only mentioning in another thread that Garmin really needs some competition to make them innovate more.

Typical. You wait years for one mapping GPS watch and two come along at once.

Oh no - it's the same one....

wish I had known about this sooner. The $149 first round seems a bargain.

Would be nice to see a GPS that has multi mounts - ie wrist in landscape or portrain, bike mount, ski jacket mount etc.

That looks pretty nice, but effing huge. Do you Steve Redgrave's wrists?

Saw this a couple of days back - was really interested until I saw the first round was already sold out, looks like they intend to price it at $449 when its released which is going to be around the cost of the 910xt, unfortunately even the $240 level is too steep for me on something that could end up being a work in progress.

That said excellent to see someone potentially pushing garmin,
