As an easy to drink beers I like leffe but sometimes those corks seriously piss me off. I mean who thought ramming a cork into a bottle and making the cork ****ing slippery smooth. Hey leffemeisters take a look at a champagne cork - nice and grippy see.

That's all.

Bit alarmed to find that the Carrefore I went to in Koksijde yesterday now charges a deposit for the bottles, added 16 euros to 160 euro bill.

....nice.... but Lambics are even nicer (once you've mastered the aroma)

I find that pushing the cork slightly up and across and working my way round the cork, before a tug on the end of it always lets me get at the beer!

Failing that have you got a missus to help?

I just use a bottle opener, no corks involved.

Gary - don't have too many now..... I saw this geezer on his green Jake the other morning in the Gorbals and thought of you....would be horrible to get knocked of your bike with a hangover by a bloke in a beemer ! 🙂

put tea towel over cork, get better grip with tea towel, twist bottle (rather than cork), same as you should with champers/sparkling.
at the mo, I'm liking
