Not long to the start now. Who's going to be watching this and who's committed enough to watch the whole thing?

I'm looking forward to see if the might of Audi can finally be toppled this year.

Yep - I'll be dipping in and out of the coverage on Eurosport.

My money is on Audi again - they just know how to win Le Mans. I think its a year to early for Porsche, and Toyotas always seem fragile.

I'm watching on Eurosport stream as well. I think if Toyota can keep the car going for the whole race they might be able to trouble Audi; that said I'm rooting for Porsche this year.

I like keeping an eye on the deltawing as well.

Thanks for that, used to go every year in the late 80's early 90's.
Domestic circumstances dictate otherwise these days.

Some big accidents there!
Never forget the full on group C cars on night laps ๐Ÿ˜€

She who must be obeyed has stated that she is watching celebrity masterchef and reckons that I shouldn't complain because "you still know what's going on, you don't need the commentary".

Yes dear.

Grumble.

Well it should be fully dark in an hour or so.

I don't think I'll be able to do the full 24hours but I'm going to give it a good go.

i have to say that i'm very impressed by the explanations of the cars/hybrid technology e.t.c during the race.

you can tell the guy is an expert, but he explains in a way a numpty like me can understand it.

really amazing technology the hybrids are using.

EDIT this is how the night le mans race looks to me ๐Ÿ˜‰

tbh can get no excitement for formula 1 any more, but this rocks. between this and the iom tt as the best motorsport events for me any way.

it's actually been really exciting to watch this and especially those badass prototype hybrid cars ๐Ÿ˜€
