I have a Samsung 37" lcd tv, series 5 or something, with a lot of sockets at the back. I can physically connect a memory stick to it but can't read the content. I was hoping to be able to view an mpg file that way. Can it be done?

Depends on the Tv video formats it can read?
Read the manual B4 you mess your tv up!

I have a samsung 6 series b model{as in latest} and I watch movies, listen to music etc through a usb port, it was advertised on the box that it did it though, as I understand it was originally only a feature to update your software etc
