Mrs LJ made far too much Chicken and Pesto tart for last nights tea and as a consequence I brought the remnants to work instead of my sandwich. I got to work and dumped my bag under my desk, completely forgetting to put it in the fridge. Now, I realise I probably won't actually die, but I really don't fancy recreating the best bits of the Picolax thread all weekend.

Would you?

a. How warm has it got?
b. Can you microwave it?

a. Office is a steady 17 degrees so I reckon about that.
b. She made it with pre cooked chicken so I wouldn't fancy re-heating it.

I've had two bites while waiting for replies. I feel so alive!

If the chicken came from a repuable butcher who sourced it from a proper farmer you'll be fine. If not, you'll be dead shortly.

well, you've just ingested a lot of very lively bacteria, it's bound to have an effect.

Nope, still here. If I do die I'll make sure I post and let you know. I reckon this must be what it's like to go into the desert and take Peyote. I'm waiting for the effects to kick in.

you don't want to be ill in the company vehicle on the way home - Coq au Van is no fun at all.

Two days ago I forgot to put my left over roast chicken in the fridge so tried to eat it the next day only to notice that it smelled a little. Still I decided to eat a one mouth full but then threw the rest away ... The next day I got runny shite.

Bear in mind food tend to go off rather quickly in this warm weather.
