My wife's mum is dying of cancer in an Athens hospital. I have to get her to Liverpool by 9:00am on Monday for a same day passport issue. Barring any problems, she'll be on a flight to Greece Monday afternoon or evening.
So far, it looks like she can only fly from Heathrow. After purchasing a leather sofa, new clutch for the car and a huge MOT / servicing bill, we're skint and selling anything we can think of to raise some cash. Mother in law is in a proper mess. Anyway, cheapest flights? Any idea where to look? I'm herding cats here. Wife is struggling even though she's an oncology nurse specialist and clinical ward manager at a hospice.

Quick look on skyscanner suggests the only way is Manchester, changing at Heathrow and onto Athens. 7hrs, 10 mins and £116 one way isn't ideal but I guess this isn't a holiday. Other than that all I offer is my sympathy. Hope you find a workable solution.
