Had a new laptop for about 6 months now, but need to log into my old one to access some Autocad files, but can't remember my username/password.
OS is XP professional, is there any back door way into this laptop or are my files lost forever?
I think I know the answer already . . .

I think you can via Linux but I've never done. You'd need to boot from a suitable USB stick or CD.

There are several utilities which will zero out the password. Google it.
(sorry, I know that's crap, but the tools I know would be overkill)

Remembered the password! Genius. Except the files I wanted weren't there. C'est la vie.
