Surely not??? So people are washing themselves and their clothes in it too???? This has got to be a p1ss-take.

That can't be for real. Adding sugar would cause huge problems with using the water for anything else. And sugar would make great food for microorganisms and such; not what you want in a water system. I say April fools or similar!
