I may be moving to Lanark - I'm sort of familiar with the area, but not the town.

Any of the STW massif there? Any bike clubs in the town itself?

I can’t be the only one to open this thread thinking it’d be about Alasdair Grays novel

Not from Lanark but I did my dissertation at the falls of Clyde nature reserve.

Lanark is nice enough. The Clyde valley between Lanark and garrison bridge is full of garden centres.

I was born in Lanark but have never lived there. I do live in Lanarkshire though.

Not sure if that makes me a Lanarkist or a Lanarkshite.

I live in Crossford, which is about 5 miles away from Lanark. Clyde Valley is a lovely place to live and there's loads of MTBers and roadies in the area, so you should find a group to ride with easily enough.
