I want to take the family to Lake Orta, we haven't had a decent holiday in ages, and are on a budget.
Can anyone recommend a campsite (with cabins as opposed to proper camping).
Cheers

Google camping lago d'orta and you may find a few, Wife's family are Italian and have apartment there so know the area quite well so if you need any other info let me know. Lots of good road rides but only found a few mountain bike trails, I think there are some good trails south of Orta

I've stayed at the site about 1km north of the Orta town itself, can't remember if it had cabins (did have static caravans though). The Val Grande area north of the lake is quite stunning.

Other options are camping verde lago, campeggio pettenasco and camping punta crabbia- all with static cabins/caravans
