Can anyone recommend some comfortable knee pads for women?

I’m a big fan of the Raceface lightweight leg warmer style ones -  I think they’re the Coverts. No nasty diggy in bits and they keep me out of scrapes. Anything bulkier and I don’t wear them which rather lessens their efficacy.

a) Do women have different knees from men?

and

b) to do what? Like, OK, "protect knees" but is this for downhill cycling or scrubbing the kitchen floor or something else?

I ride up to trail level, and like the Rapha’s.

Think the question is more the style of riding and whether the knee pads fit, rather than woman specific. Some woman (myself included) do have proportionally bigger thigh than men, but that isn’t universally the case.

I agree on fit, fit, fit rather than a specific women's or what fits someone else.

It took mrs_oab a couple of very uncomfortable pads from online or second hand from a friend before the lbs had a pair of Bliss skinny light pads in which fit much much better.

I still wear a bulky and not that comfy pair of Endura pads, which feel poorly designed and shaped really.

Ive been using G Form ones for the last ten years (since my daughter started competing in Enduro in them).

Use them for all day riding, occasional DH and regular trips to the Alps. Saved my knees on numerous occasions.

I carry the elbow ones in my back pack just in case it gets a bit iffy but by the time I've decided to put them on I've usually crashed and the damage has been done.

Whilst considering the hilarity of knee pads designed just for women, because we have different knees, I've wondered if the marketing mass have invented 'ebike knee pads' yet!

I loved the Fox Enduro Pros so much I wore them to destruction. Currently awaiting stock of their latest version for more testing, but I guess there may be stock of older models out there? They were a sleeve style, so no adjustment - so if they don't happen to fit, there's nothing to be done.

Daughter (12 but quite big) has found the POC VpD air very comfy under race trousers for BMX and MTB.
With shorts, she has and likes the IXS mallet combined knee and shin to protect lower legs. The leatt ones are really popular with her club mates too.
She has the G form elbow pads and likes them too. My boy rates his G form knee pads - but get the right size as it's the stretchy elastic that holds them in place - no adjustment strap.

yes! gform E-Line pads. i have a pair (they were cheap) and i quite like them fairly burly and zip on so great for muddy car parks (which is why i bought them). they have fancy 'electric' syle print on them. you cant see this under trousers though.

my daughter has dakine slayer pro pads which are nice. they also fit me and are slim and comfey and have d30 so actual protection.

my wife has the nukeproof critical pads which while they are 'pads' they are really just thick foam so less protection than the dakines.
