Currently reading a book which has Spanish conversations in it.
I wanna know what they are saying, so can I add a Spanish dictionary to my Kindle? How?
It's one of the original Kindles.
cheers.

I have no idea about the Kindle, but if you have an Android phone you could use Google Goggles to translate it, not ideal but should work.

Yeah, I have been using my phone to translate - seems silly when Kindle has dictionary functions though. Just doesn't look like my old one can do 2 languages.

If you reset and re-register your Kindle, you get all the dictionaries, including the Spanish one, sent to your account again.

No idea if this helps, not tried using any dictionary but the English one.

Nowt.

It removes all the books from your device and resets the font choice and size, along with the reading/device options.

You just download your books again.

I've done it quite a few times, because I'm a bit odd. šŸ˜€

You do need your WiFi password again though.

Edit: I'm an idiot.

[s]
Can you not just go:

Amazon > Your Account > Manage My Kindle > Click All Items on the left hand side > enter Spanish into the search box:

You should see the below, click to make bigger:

Mouseover the 'actions' button of Free Dictionary el Diccionario de la lengua espaƱola (Spanish Edition) > select 'deliver to my kindle'

Click deliver.[/s]

Go on then. šŸ˜€

How's it organised?
I didn't even know you COULD organize!

BTW, they're very helpful if you email them, the Kindle helpdesk.
Bet they'd send you another Spanish Dictionary for free if you asked them.

I suspect that is true. If you want to translate Spanish words.

Maybe I can find a Spanish lady to lie next to me while I'm reading.

Should have said, it's a spanish english dictionary. you look up a word in spanish, you get the english meaning!

Although, the spanish lady idea does sound appealing, where do I get one of those? šŸ˜€

None of it works! If I set my dictionary to Spanish, I get Spanish word definitions.
So found this - http://evilgeniuschronicles.org/2010/01/07/my-free-and-open-kindle-formatted-spanish-to-english-dictionary/

Set to my dictionary... go to Spanish word... nothing.
