ha yes there is a lot of that going on.

thankfully the jackdaws seem to be giving the nest building a rest atm (at the tawny owl nest entrance).

A jackdaw has just appeared with some nesting material, looked around and went off

Ooh it’s back!

I’m loving this

They really are thick as mince aren't they? There must be a right pile of twigs below the tree but they keep going after ones miles away (you can see them flying past the feeding point on each journey).

Apparently it’s not unheard of for other birds to build nests on top of owls and their chicks.

I meant more that they keep knocking twigs back out and getting more rather than using what they already fetched.

Who’s still watching this? The drama over the last 48 hours with Mrs Kes disappearing and Mr Kes having to step up and feed his chicks, awesome to see!

Maybe the twigs already gathered don't match the interior decor of the room, just like when certain types of human continually decorate and redecorate, and buy new furniture while chucking out perfectly good 'old' furniture. 😀

@houns i am still watching the streams for sure (i am addicted to them i have to admit).

the good thing is that mrs kes is still alive as people had seen her on the stream and robert fuller took a pic of her (i think she was attacked by a tawny owl.i didn't see the incident myself just what i read).

all the chicks are being checked by robert and mr kes is going a great job of looking after them.

this is helping my depression for sure these livestreams 🙂
