It's a seaweed based form of couscous, and certainly enough to put me off food for a day or two.

Sounds like Giardia. I had that once, was horrible. Some big fat tablets from the docs soon sorted it out. It's a bug that lives in your stomach, you catch it drinking from streams that are infected.

Last sunday I came over very [b]nauseated[/b], but didn't vom.
Then the rest of the week (even today) I've had naff all appetite. Which is annoying 'cos I love eating!
I've probably eaten less than half of what I normally would. Felt pretty drained too.

I'm on the last day of holiday with the family, and have spent the last week drinking the Mediterranean Sea (or a fair. It of it anyway) and feel just as you describe today. Sorry kids, no more pedallo action for you. I've taken to my bed. Going to have to deal with packing, transfers and flight later, which I'm not relishing.

Apparently after the first few days of hunger it gets EASIER to not eat.
