I get hot feet, need super cool shoes that aren't sandles or flip flops.

I looked like Crockett in Binners pic in the late eighties and thought I looked cool.

I was a cock.

Wearing nowt on my feet - 's nice. Riding shoes in about 10mins, though...

My nice & shiny 8 hole black docs. Default footwear for any day of the week, whatever the weather.

Or the oxbloods....

Currently nothing due to the last minute coursework happening here. Soon to be boat shoes, GATs[img] [/img]
or some Superga 1750s

This is my best combo yet. Karrimor shoes and merino socks.
Just don't get on with man made materials.

Sandals with dimples so that air can circulate around your sole. Some people's feet can really stink in sandals.

The stench-ridden Teva sandals of doom, as they finally gave in to the acrid decay and fell apart….

[img] [/img]

As soon as I took them off, Mrs Binners would throw them outside. They were rank! But uber-comfy!

Guys, a word in your shell-like ... did you know that us wimminz deduct points for hotness if you're wearing those ghastly flip flops? Mens feet, wimminz too whilst we're at it, should be covered in public to protect those of a nervous disposition.

😉

I'm serious, seriously!

Just saw this thread and immediately removed my office slippers (comfy Clarks slip on shoes). Debating whether to remove my socks. Freedom!

And they're back in - no socks. Or those little hidden things if you must.

Court dismissed!

Merrell Ventilator Lows, the non-GTX versions. They're not bad, but not as cool on my feet as my running shoes.

Maybe consider some of the lighter INOV-8 trail shoes?

Someone should make a sock with a sole and make it look like a shoe.

I'm happy to inform you that this is not the case with all 'wimminz' - I've known a few that have more than a fascination with feet in general.

As for covering - sure, if they're manky and distorted and even then, who gives a shit if someone finds them offensive - avert your eyes if it's an issue. Feet need airing in the summer, end of...

😉

It's been a day of meetings so these, which are to be replaced by my cycle shoes and then, later, by some flipflops - I care not what others think. I have been wearing Reefs for 30 years and am not stopping now for some made up social convention. I may even nibble my toenails if I get peckish. 😀

Been wearing my Rohan Bhutan walking shoes all weekend. Big, ugly, clumpy things. Love 'em!

This thread has reminded me I do need to buy some new, comfy shoes for the summer. I always have a pair of Salomon mesh-sided trainers but the current pair smell just like cat pee...

Clean socks eh? Wow! I really must try that. Currently, I wear each sock for a week before turning them inside out and starting again. Thank the Lord for the Geniuses of STW.

If it was warm again I'd be back in the birkenstocks - for trail rat dead easy to pick up in Perth. First lot died after 4 years so another set from melbourne. Comfy and cool on the feet.

Bought 3 pairs of these from tkmaxx last year, Puma 917 8 Bit trainers, they were in the reduced section and cost £8.99 so i bought all 3 pairs in my size. Good for driving in as well.

Other than that whenever i can i go barefoot, at home/garden etc.

Nope, it's a photo, remember it's an 8 bit shoe so it lags behind the 64 bit resolution of wunda-shoes we have today

😉
