Just mooching on mumsnet whilst having a soak and came across this....... is it not THE cutest thing ever?
Bet that little boy will never forget this christmas
I struggle with long sentences.
More the fool you then grumpy pants :p. Made me feel all warm and festive

Rachel
Looks like we are the only sentimentals on here Rachel!!
too much reading
Ok, kid loses monkey, mum puts thread on mumsnet, someone finds him one and posts it. Mum keeps it for Christmas Day and writes a story with it to say that monkey's been helping Santa and his work is now done. Kid is happy, everyone cries. ๐
I'm not sure it's quite the same story when you put it down as concisely as that!
It does rather lose the slushyness doesnt it!
underwhelmed
its funny how women ENJOY crying
it's hormonal
i think i'm still banne from mumsnet
ffs, after initially deciding that it was too long to bother reading I changed my mind after reading your concise version emma, thinking it might be interesting after all.
You can image my disappointment when I discovered that it wasn't even a real monkey.
Ernie if you did not cry you have no heart.
I loved it, thanks for sharing
Have to say though in all honesty I am considering changing my username to sparrowfart82, that is simply the best I have ever heard
Aaawww - that's so sweet.
(hope I've got a tissue in my pocket...)
Reads it ... fails to cry ... wonders if I'm a proper woman (suspect not due to having more bikes than handbags)
Mind you, I'm a sucker for a soppy dog story ...
Ah... I have more bikes than handbags too - but I'm a big softie at heart ๐
Awww - ernie's baby hedgehog wins!
Seconded. Hedgehog wins
Baby hekelopters are cute, but fair enough, a baby hedgehog does trump even those.
What the letter from Santa failed to divulge was that stripey monkey had been away so long because he'd got himself into a spot of bother in Thailand.
Hope the parents gave it a good wash before giving it back to little Johnny.
