Dropped my phone it broke. Got a new one on insurance. Got it Monday as soon as I put the SIM card in I got a call. Answered it but was literally walking out the door. Stressful day. Said I would call back Tuesday, however after having a nightmare updating and restoring the iphone it has deleted the number. Tried calling voda but they can only look at numbers I have dialled not received. Any ideas anyone?
Dunno, but I'd guess if it was important enough then the other party will call you again surely.

They'll know who called you. And probably the reason why. And what your response would be.
I always work on the principle of if it's important they'll call back. If they don't, it obviously didn't matter.
Don't fret about it.
