£280! looks impressive. SOmeone recomended me the Pure I-30 for £40. Links into our stereo. REviews say sound quality not ace. We are not hi-fi buffs so we probably would not notice.

I've got a three-four year old Logic3 dock that I'm looking to get rid of. your welcome to it for a tenner. has power supply to run and charge the ipod, S-Video and Composite video output, and a mini jack sound output plus a ipod connector socket. remote control works all ipod functions, but i never found it useful apart from play and pause as you need to be up close to the ipod to see what is on the screen, and its then easier to use the ipod controls direct

I've always just used a 3.5 to RCA connector, super simple and only 48 pence on amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Phono-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B000Q6LSVS/ref=pd_cp_ce_1

If you're connecting to a hifi or surround sound system, they most likely will have an AUX connection on the back.

iPod docks have a 3.5mm jack line out connector on the back. Stick that into an aux port on your hifi. Job done.
