if you get one make sure its has a voltage regulator. as the really cheap ones will not charge as the iPhone will not take more than 5 volts.

I've got a griffin 2 USB port thingy. Can charge two phones at a time or phone and sat nav.

Slimline enough to stay in there all the time and was about £10

Ebay ones are ok but they have to have an output of 1A..Most of the ebay ones are 500 to 750 mA so be careful.

Griffin Powerjolt SE

Anything iPad-compatible will also charge iPhone 4 and 4S much quicker than a boggo USB charger too. Really nicely made too, chunky coiled cable and well built connectors. The end glows white which is a little annoying at night but easily fixed with some black electrical tape.
