I don't think the changes to the music app for ipad in ios7 helped make an already weak app any better.
For me, they've made scrolling worse. I need an app that is better for scrolling to particular points in a song; do any of you have any suggestions?

Scrolling along in a song? iOS7 Music can already do that...
whats wrong with the current method? drag along to scroll, drag down to change the scrubbing speed.
spotify app is ok.
I like EQ10 in my Iphone as it has a decent equalizer.
Im sure you can scroll the songs too.

In iOS 7 the sensitivity of the scroll bar isn't as good as it was. Getting the scroll bar to within 15-30 secs isn't as easy as it used to be.
Another grumble is moving the airplay icon out of the music app entirely. I now have 2 steps rather than 1.

Why does this bother me? Because if I'm learning a solo, I need to be able to get back to the start.
I've got an excellent app for looping and slowing down a song but as part of my warm up I play through a few songs and other songs (such as Time by floyd) I only know the solo and don't want to sit through bits I don't need to. I've only limited practice time.
I'd like an app I can build a play list in and skip the odd part of the odd song. Just wondered if anyone was using anything different and could recommend an app.
just suprised, tried it on my phone and with fine scrubbing then it increments in 1s intervals. how much finer do you need....
@captain - have a search around the macrumours forums, I only use the stock app so cannot help (agreed airplay is less convenient which is a pain as I use it a lot)

on my phone, move the slider sideways but slide your finger up/down the screen to vary scrubbing speed. Down gives half/quarter speed scrubbing, up gives access to fine scrubbing.

@captain - I have an ancient iPad1 so stuck on iOS5, to be honest I don't do the type of scrolling you are after on the phone under iOS7. FYI I do use MySongBook for lyrics/chords (and no I cannot play)

Lolz at Capt.Slow! There are lots of little hidden details that are dead easy to miss, then somebody says, 'do such-and-such, it's obvious', and you then feel such a clot for not having spotted it. 😀
