I've an old iPad (v3) and somehow damaged the charging port so it doesn't charge!
Apple Store taken a look and the outcome is that it's not repairable - tablet is essentially worthless.
Looking online it seems possible to DIY a replacement dock connector... but seems a pretty crude job, so is it really worth throwing more cash to revive a 5+ year old device that's seen better days?
Or should I suck it up and shell out for a new one (£340 a straight swap for 2017 model)
