I like when there's a pre-interview exercise to test your skills and knowledge (very testable for writing/content management/strategy).

I've usually smashed these (and then not got the role because I was up against someone with industry experience from a direct rival).

If that was for the Cabinet Office, they did the same to me tho mine was to plan a national software roll out - easy peasy, just state assumptions.
