So, I've got some Malware or a virus that is infesting every site I visit with pop up ads and inserts hyperlinks on random words that direct you to a "survey"! I'm running Malwarebytes and McAfee on Windows XP Service Pack 2. Using either Chrome of Firefox.
Any ideas out there as to how I rid myself of this plague?

Why in the name of Batman are you running SP2?
See if MBAM gives you a name, it'll give us something to go on.
backup data, clean install of windows, clean install apps and restore data.
if the two tools you're using haven't even identified it as a problem it's probably fairly robust malware.
Id it was just one browser I'd suggest uninstalling that and reinstalling in case it was some wierd plug in but for both it's unlikely.
