I have the opportunity of purchasing my lease car (company car). I am waiting on the valuation. The car has had two minor insurance claims, one was a dent, one was damage to the exhaust. The exhaust claim was a new cat convertor so was over a grand of work. Will this show up on a HPI report? If so how much would you expect it to affect the value?

I see a lot of these cars on ebay etc and people seem to avoid like the plague!

No they won't show up on the HPI.

They won't affect the value of the car either.

Only if the car has been written off would it show on the report and have an effect on value. Those are minor issues that aren't recorded.

The ones you see on Ebay have been written off and repaired (allowed for CAT C and D and some CAT B's but not for CAT A's).
