Fished out of the bottom of the swimming pool this evening. Appears to have at least ten, possibly twelve legs so is NOT a. Baby Robin

Not a baby Robin, count the legs!!!
Legs are fragile and can fall off....
Certainly your example is missing a few, as some of the segments have 2 pairs of legs, others have just one.
How long is the body?

If this is the same thing it's called Mille Pattes and i have squished loads of them in my house, usually found in hotter climates (so i guess your having a good summer).
