That Star Trek trailer makes me a bit sad.
That Justin Lin guy just doesn't know when to stop with trying to make the action 'bigger'. It's not interesting if there are apparently no limits to what can happen, it just becomes a cartoon then.

It does look poor to be honest.

However, there's too much Independence Day slander in this thread.

This is a film where Will Smith, one of the finest movie stars of his generation, punches an alien in the face then says BOTH "Welcome to earth!" and "Now that's what I call a close encounter".

How can you not like that?

Sorry to derail the threadjacking, but I find it hard to believe the aliens would choose to return on exactly the same day of the year.

Whoever chose 'sabotage' for the soundtrack to that trailer deserves a medal

Apparently Mr Smith wanted A shed load of cash and his son in the movie (After Earth P2 anyone) The producers thankfully said no 🙂
