Used to be able to do English, French, German, Dutchish/Flemish (I lived in a very Flemish area for a few years, so my Dutch was technically Flemish), Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan. Or at least make myself understood in a near approximation of the local language.

Now down to English, Spanish and Swedish. Plus a near approximation of Norwegian and Danish, as long as i've had enough beer first.

Their Russian pronunciation is spot-on, Latvian is a comedy robot voice - still guaranteed to get your two beers and a laugh at/with you.

This would work and is absolutely correct. But you tend to hear polite forms more often than please. I might say something like "iki bira verebilirmisiniz", essentially to highlight that I ain't getting this shite from no phrasebook.
