whereabots are you going to be? Bavaria is big. if you are coming to munich or southern Bavaria you're in luck.

goes on until the first weekend (the sunday) of October, so it will still be on.

don't go on the weekend unless you have a table pre-booked. if you go during the week it isn't as much of a problem.

go to the Augustiner tent for the bes beer, Hof Bräu for the "craziest" tent or Spaten for the younger tent.

I made up for it by visiting the Paulaner Brauhaus. 🙂

Paulaner really isn't the best of Munich's beers.

I find the best beer hall in town is Augustiner on the main drag/pedestrian bit. it isn't full of tourists (drunk septics and ozzies) and is home to Munich's best beer. and it's one of only two independant breweries left.

d'Wiesn as it is known in Bavaria runs from the last two weekends of September till the first Sunday of October.

i am drinking my first beer now. wahey!

just need to put on my drinking shirt and hat and i'll be off.
