Worst bunged up headachy flu type thing for ages and I'm looking out the window at wall to wall blue sky.

You'll feel better for it. Probably.
It won't be the flu, just getting over the flu now, was bedridden for a week, off work for two, now 3 weeks later and still have a **** of a cough/wheezy chest and not much energy.
You have a cold or you'd not be on here.

Yip me too, sun streaming in the window, not a breath of air outside, best riding day of the year so far and I'm running a temp, snot everywhere and it feels like someone has taken a cheese grater to my throat ... And it's my ....ing birthday too! FFS! Humph
Nailing about a litre of water an hour, paracetamol anything else is snake oil. Thank god for my kindle, spotify, this forum and bbc iPlayer and the ever gorgeous mrs mutt for soothing my fevered brow.
Just been out, 32 slow road miles. A week after having had norovirus & i certainly realised how much it had taken out of me, averaged just less than 14mph although it was a bit windy & had 2900ft of climbing thrown in. Still felt well wobbly & off the pace though.
