I couldn't afford an Amiga 500, but the Atari ST was just kind of 'cool'er, for no other reason than it was an Atari.

I dunno?, i guess i should have an opinion but i've been riding 26" for years so i find it hard to get worked up about the 650b size as i couldn't really give a flying **** if it makes me 5 seconds faster on a run or other suchlike willy measuring strava behaviour - if you feel the the need to buy a new bike coz the mags say you need one then crack on - who am i deny you the ability to spend your own money as you see fit, personally i'd rather save the cash and continue to ride my current bike and buy an oz of ching and spend a few weekends kicking the arse out in the clubs and at mates parties but that's just me.

And vote tory?…….are you having a ****in laugh?….i'm still celebrating thatchers descent into Hades warm embrace.

I've learnt a lot from this thread.

Not much of a starting point to be fair.

so does monbiot

and he knows it was the torries fault

The Labour government turned this advice into conditions attached to farm subsidies. Ground cover crops should be sown under the maize and the land should be ploughed, then resown with winter cover plants within 10 days of harvesting, to prevent water from sheeting off. So why isn't this happening in Somerset?

Because the current government dropped the conditions. Sorry, not just dropped them. It issued – wait for it – a specific exemption for maize cultivation from all soil conservation measures.

I seem to remember the last time the Tories helped the farmers out it was removing the clause that stopped them grinding up diseased cattle and feeding it right back to the healthy ones. I think they had similar results with that one......
