Don't know why but feel if I don't identify the song and listen to it I can't do anything productive today!
I'll give you what I can...
The music video is set in amongst sand dunes, mid 70's i'd say. Got a reggae feel to it. The band has a singer with a short soul-glow fro playing keyboards and a singer slappin' da bass with Boris Johnson hair (possibly singing about not wanting to go to work or war).
The video has sections where the sand dune scene is played along side a b&w video of possibly minstrels dancing?
Any ideas?
Level 42 - the sun goes down?
The video is set in the mid-70s or the song is from the mid-70s?
Riksbar - brilliant!
Ok I was a decade early...but glad i've got it!
Time to crank up to 11 and get the dishes done!
Cheers
Oh lord, you're not really going to LISTEN to Level 42?? 🙁

Was on Level 42, moved onto Flock of Seagulls now Talking Heads ~Killing time before a visit to the brew dog pub this afternoon!
For what it's worth Level 42 started life on andy Sokja's (RIP) hugely credible Elite label which released some classic british disco/funk by atmosfear/3rd army & Powerline etc The fist release they did when they left Elite was Starchild which became a bit of a Larry Levan classic at the Paradise Garage.
The video is set in the mid-70s or the song is from the mid-70s?
Looking back it's so bizarre...
For what it's worth Level 42 started life...
They were bloody awful though. Very bad songs... and why did anyone ever let Mark King SING?
Yeah the credibility Level 42 fleetingly had very quickly evaporated.
Can anyone help me with the first song in this video?
Lyrics are too generic for google and soundhoud etc don't know it either 🙁
I can't even make out most of the lyrics. no idea sorry
And Level 42 weren't bad. Enjoyed listening to some of their stuff today.
