[Closed] Identify an old film about a terminally ill lad.

On an aircraft in 1980 I watched a film about a terminally ill boy.

I remember a father, a tractor being in it, and possibly the lad not being made to go to school and being taken away to the country, perhaps abroad.

There was a line of dialog where a character says: The boy will grow up spoiled. and gets the response, He won't, because he won't grow up at all.

I don't recall it being especially good but it would be interesting to see if STW can identify an obscure film from almost no clues.

Airline was "Caledonian" IIRC.
