I've just bought a newish car (2011 - newest I've ever bought!) and wouldn't mind spending a couple hundred quid on stuff that makes it more fun, durable or whatever.

I'm already buying a boot liner, colour matched front seat covers and some good mats, but what else would folk suggest? Forget headlight eyelashes and a polkadot wraparound, but anything that might make it interesting or help preserve it's value?

Thanks!

I wish someone would design a car with a rubbish bin somewhere inside.

If you want to make it more durable, get Nokian energy saving tyres. 60k miles.

Colour coded or not, seat covers are crap unless they look like those ones ^ Strictly for use when there's a chance I might jump straight into the car after riding. Using covers everyday kinda reminds me of folk that permanently cover their couch to "keep it nice"

Cherry Bomb exhaust ftw

Diggin the Delhi taxi beads 😉

I'd get a parrot system but really don't feel the need to use the phone much when driving about. Maybe a better audio system of some kind.

Spend some money on some decent cleaning products

Buy a decent quality polish and give the car a good going over.

The use a decent wax to protect it.

Do this a couple of times a year

Never take your car to the petrol station car wash or the local "gritty sponge" £3.50 car wash

Result. Your car's paint will be in good shape when you sell it an the car worth a few £'s more and be easier to sell

A2DP stereo so you can stream from your phone.

Towbar, and towbar mounted bike carrier. You'll never go back once you've had one.

Roof rack. Can't get a surfboard on the towbar bike rack 🙂

Oh, and if you have kids - the most powerful wet'n'dry hoover you can afford
