Any recommendations for resorts or accommodation for late summer?
Done Mallorca loads and maybe considering Ibiza as an alternative.
What you got?

We've been to Portinatx at the north end and liked it. Not a huge amount to do, but very pleasant, stayed in the El Greco which is right next to the beach

My Wife & I stayed in Cala Longa when we went to Ibiza years ago before we were married. It's a small, quiet resort so might not be suitable for you, depending on how old the family are.

It's a small enough island to get from place to place fairly easily.

We've also stayed in Lanzarote (can't remember the name of the resort) and Tenerife (between Los Cristianos & Playa de la Americas) and had great holidays at both places.

Don't get the Saturday night Glasgow flight, unless you're a mentalist!

LOL yes - although my experience was on the Leeds Bradford early morning one with a plane full of p*ssed-up people on 24 hourers.

I can honestly say I have *NEVER* been so afraid for my own safety as I was in the toilets in the airport as I was stood peeing into the urinal and the guy beside me started punching the wall as he thought the wall was pushing him – if he had seen me near him I am sure he would have vented on me instead.
