Is there a better way of *politely* getting over the fact someone is being a complete idiot and doesn't fundamentally understand their job of numerous years ?

As an example, if I do a Google search for "muppet" and then do a search for "elephants", the results will only show me elephants that are also muppets.

Right?

Incidentally, “Snuffleupagus” is one of my favourite words.

"Sorry mate, I haven't explained myself very well at all have I?"

Sometimes that's enough for your common or garden Muppet to step off their high horse and start again without feeling they've lost face.

Your 'Special Muppet' though, that's a whole other ball game - for them you need facts, figures, spreadsheets and sometimes the worst of the worst ****ing power point before they're mutter something about "you can prove anything with facts" and bugger off.
