Someone should stand those chairs up... if someone falls on one of them, they could get quite a nasty bruise.
Typical shoddy EU approach to H&S issues.
I don't understand all the "How awful, they were singing anti-ISIS songs". Would you rather they were singing pro-ISIS songs?!
🙄
Do you want me to explain it? Do I really have to?
Impressed too, that even in the midst of a full on street brawl, the guy in the background is determined to see his rendition of 'La Macarena' through to the end.
So you'd rather the police hadn't been there and left the gangs to do their worst to you, Maholo?
id rather they pinned back the antagonists rather than penning us in & making us sitting ducks. and Id rather they didn't hit people with sticks.
Marseille has a large number of Algerian and African immigrants, im suspecting that the ISIS chants were deemed rather innapropriate
Just discovered that the lad who got himself chucked in Marseille harbour is from the village I grew up in. Quite a few of our finest local sports fans in bother over there, apparently, bless 'em, the stupid ****s.
that's amazing, binners! I bet you could see them magic eye puzzles too!!
€150,000 fine and "suspended" suspension. You can see what the Russians think about that by their responce in the press conference.
Policing in the Stadium was a joke too, all the Russians had to do was climb over a simple barrier. After letting off their flares of course.
As for "Where is ISIS" the nutter was Facebook live broadcasting his murder of an off duty Policeman and his partner while telling people online he hadn't decided what to do with their traumatised 3 year old yet. What an Islamic hero.

Given the guy in red on the floor is executing some outstanding breakdance moves, I can only assume this is a dance off.
Clearly inappropriate but that Russian is the spitting image of Sam Warburton.

YES!
I saw that too, but I'm crap at name to face recognition, and rather than post 'he looks like someone' i've been waiting for it to come to me.
And following the dance theme further, the Russian formation shoeing did slightly remind me of [img]
[/img] - an image which the trilby doesn't entirely dispel
Bongo are they fixing the tyre or knicking the wheels ;). Fair play to out Irish friends, very nice 🙂
Just another day in Paris, Riots and Molotov cocktails being thrown at the police, tear gas being fired back
BFM TV
Just chatting to a colleague fresh back from Marseille.
His experience backs up the "Russians did it" view:
"We were outside a quiet bar well away from the noisy English when the Russians appeared, set about us, knocked my mate unconscious and then legged it. After they ran away the french police teargassed us."
After the game he said the atmosphere on the walk back was really ominous - his group escaped trouble by diving into a McDonalds (where they were locked in).
His strong advice is not to go to any game at the championships.
Reminds me, my sister and partner are due to be going to one of the England games....
In light of all this information, are we all agreed that Wrightyson owes us all an unreserved apology for sullying our good English name?
Obviously he doesn't need to apologise to Edukator and other Johnny Foreigner types 😀
Edit - I misread #oops
I was down town earlier as the manif went through, a bit of smoke but no gas.

Indeed Bongo!
Anyway, doesn't Wimbledon start soon? Any Russians playing? 😕

Go on...what did you say?
*puts on best pair of green stripey shorts*
Meanwhile the Irish continue to cement their reputation....
I thought they were pulling their drunken mate from under the car! 😆
Attaching a bomb aren't they?
Aren't they suspended for drugs cheating? 😆Anyway, doesn't Wimbledon start soon? Any Russians playing?
Even the Russians letting me down now by being the instigators. Our lads can't even stand up to a decent ruck now. We got pwned!
We got pwned!
To be fair, we are playing the reserves.

A little bit of trouble in Lille:
Meanwhile the Irish continue to terrorise locals....
Cripes, Stan is taking a bit of a bettering following his periscoping. 😆
If only he'd been able to periscope a few years back.
the guardian are live blogging the frightful oiks at it again in france 😆 its like hooligan porn.

Just watching the Collymore stuff....English fans are being dicks it seems. No fighting, just a bit shouty and obnoxious.
It seems a prerequisite of being an England fan abroad that you can't take your beer.
ISIS have a football team now?
As someone who doesn't follow football, this is all terribly confusing to me.
the eu thinks about westernising ukraine and russia retake crimea
but the eu wants a little footy competition and russia not only wants to take part but also wants to discredit this great nations hooooligans.
^if isis say you are in the team, you are in the team, to the end.
A friend is working security for one of the media outlets, he said that the russians are behaving like a military unit (and he should know..)
Very very organised.
Wow...sky news now. Totally disproportionate response from the French police to a group of 200ish England fans. Not causing trouble it seems, just getting rowdy. It looks like this group have been harassed by the media & police all day whilst sitting in a bar-not surprised they're getting a bit shirty. A massive overreaction to the problem imo

Is that to do with the mandatory national service over there though, any kids who don't do well at school get turned into brainless nationaist thugs?
Not causing trouble, just getting rowdy..
Same thing to me.

If a bunch of pissed up idiots from out of town were hanging round my street singing racist songs at the top of their voices then I think I'd expect the cops to do something about it whether they were fighting or not.
Are you holding a football tournament in your town?
And 'by doing something about it' do you think that charging them with tear gas is appropriate? All they're doing is moving them to someone else's street. At least they had them under supervision where they were.
It must be shit being an English fan! 😆 fair do's extenuating circumstances earlier in the week. But you are being bawbags now! **** England and Wales! 😆
Are you holding a football tournament in your town?
So it's ok to act like an w** if football's involved? If you're going to behave like an arse* then expect to be treated like one.
Btw a good song l learned in France one year following the Celtic, under the tricolour. La jeunesse emmerde le front national, repeat, 😆 email it to your friends over there, it'll serve them well! We were in a bar in Lyon 2003/4ish I think and these bawbags came in, they were puntin gear about the place, but one of them ended up going to slap this frenxh lassie, for no reason other than she wouldn't go with him, we'd been talking to her and her friends, so we all jumped in and ended up arse and necking the ****s out the bar, the French were a bit wary of us before hand but that soon changed, turned out it was a bit of an anti fascist bar and this **** had been giving them hassle for a while, what a night after that! 😆
@seaso FN have 25% of the vote now FYI
The anti Labour Law demonstrators in Paris yesterday included 800 who turned up with helmets, googles and gas masks threw bricks and petrol bombs at police and smashed up a children's hospital. Football fans are lagging way behind
