I was on a car forum that I use and saw somebody selling a golf diesel mk3 estate for a few hundred quid. I have been after one for a while so I pm'd him (u2u on there fancy software stuff) and awaited a reply.
The original classified add was posted on the 11th of January 2011.
His reply was this " No. I'm using it. Thanks for your interest"
Odd I thought so I replied as well " I thought it was for sale"
His reply " It was but I posted it ages ago"
So is 14 days ago on a forum with not that much traffic ages ago? How long is ages on a forum and how long would you leave something up for sale before deciding it wasn't for sale anymore because nobody had replied.
I was a bit miffed by it.
Forget it, unsurprisingly the internet is full of w***ers.
People can change their minds, he could have just said that of course.
