[Closed] I may not need to go to court after all....

After being screwed by a local garage on an auto box repair on Mrs Futtocks car, they have offered 'recompense'. But only after I upped the letter before court claim to £720 & told them I had a report from Mercedes-Benz UK, no offer was forthcoming before this even though I'd sent a 1st letter before court! (must've thought I wasn't serious)
So anyway, I'd said that an out of court settlement of £500 would be acceptable & I sent them Merc UK's report which basically said that the problem had originally been mis-diagnosed by the local garage.
It'll be happy days if they cough up!
