We will be in touch
London, yesterday apparently. The driver of the white car thought they could get through that gap...
Not kidding.
Reassuring to know we ride/ drive on the same roads as people with such little spacial awareness isn't it?
Amateur driver; they haven't learned how to drive on two wheel to get through gaps.
Here's a pro doing it - and showing off his other skills.

Is it that clear cut though, there is plenty of room there if the lorry wasn't so far from the kerb, and heading right.
Take your point Sweepy however the lorry has passed the parked car when the other car has tried to pass it and although there is width on the road it is sometimes pot holed and sunken drains at the side of the road you have to crash through because there is enough room.
I still reckon there's fault on both sides, car probably should have waited but that doesn't happen in Grantown.
If I were a better man and driving that lorry i'd have sucked up the pothole rather than pull right, but I'm not perfect so I might well have just because the car was parked on his side so I was right.
Its that kind of impulse that causes a lot of accidents in my opinion, someone makes a mistake and someone else compounds it on principle. I know it happens to me. I'm not proud of it, but I am aware at least.
Got to agree, but there may be more to than the picture shows.
Lorry could have been passing one of those bloody cyclists..
The gap is big enough, just approached at the wrong angle.
Gap does look big enough, 100% the car at fault. The speed it must have been going to mount the black car like that is also scary.
That was low speed. Higher speed the white car would have continued and be on its roof.
Low speed, I expect the parked car left his wheels turned out and the white car has driven into the wheel, the parked car rolled back slightly and tada, you've parked on top without completely destroying the front of your car.
Agree with the other comments though, this could easily be a bullish truck driver barging through and panicking the other driver.
Got to agree, but there may be more to than the picture shows.
Yes - for a start its missing a commentary from Ogmios.

"Look...there's the yellow Power Ranger....he's wondering why Rita Repulsa has parked her car in such a hurry...maybe she was going to the shop for 10 fags and some biscuits ...."
Its 100% the white cars fault: their way was not clear given the parked car and thats their problem regardless of whether the lorry could have got further into the kerb
On Sunday at a petrol station there was a gang of bikers filling up their harleys.
Then a man in a Range Rover drove into one knocking it onto its side.
You can imagine how philosophically the assembled motorcyclists took it.
How he couldn’t have seen or heard 20 grebos I have no idea.
grebos
Haven't heard that word in a while 😀

No, no, no, we are all absolutely perfect drivers 100% of the time on here, have never made an error of judgement or been momentarily distracted, and expect the rest of the human race to live up to these standards of perfection at all times and in all things. 😉
Though that pic does look like an absolute **** up by the white car.
Wonders what Ogmios would make of all this.
How on earth does the white car end up like that without any visible damage to its front? Has it swerved then lifted onto two wheels?
I’ll agree with the posters above who state ‘enough room to get through’
The truck and parked car are irrelevant, but the person holding the wheel of the white car is probably needing an eye test.
(You will note, I didn’t use the word ‘driver’ there, he/she isn’t one)
The truck and parked car are irrelevant,
That lorry is steering to the right. Let's be generous and say there's another parked car or obstacle ahead of the lorry he was starting to steer around.
So for the person in the white car, there probably was enough room when the cab went past, and then they got squeezed by the trailer and panicked. I still wouldn't try and squeeze past an HGV like that though.
This is exactly the reason why I gave up road riding 4 years ago. Too many morons on the roads and the pigs don't give a toss when you get knocked off.

Pulled a wheelie thinking they may be able to drive over it.

Fell off a Chinnook
Is it that clear cut though, there is plenty of room there if the lorry wasn’t so far from the kerb, and heading right.
Perhaps.
But the lorry is where it is
So the gap *isn't* big enough, and the person in the car needs to be patient, for a moment.
It's the same as when you have people in cars passing people on bikes - "I could squeeze through there if you weren't there!"
So wait, then.
The car pulled out to pass a parked car which the lorry was already passing. We cant see but the lorry looks to be pulling out to pass something that the car was already passing. They were both going for the same gap when it wasn't wide enough and neither backed down in time.

It's ok. We know what to do in that situation:
I "caused" an accident on teh motorbike one time. Went through a gap between a bus and a truck, no bother. Person behind me tried to go through the same gap, crashed into both the bus and the truck several times. My fault obviously. Some people's brains aren't very good.
