As titled really, how to work out the hours you are paid for the year? As an example if I work 41 weeks of the year (but get paid over 52 weeks) at 37.5 hours a week, is it as simple as 41 x 37.5 or do I need to add my holiday in as well, don't know the exact holiday time yet as I'll need to see what it says on my contract but say it's 20 days will it then be 45 x 37.5 = hours worked then divide that by my salary to get how much I'm paid an hour?

If you are a teacher (presume?) then you work 41 weeks and get paid for 41.

Your salary is just paid over 12 instalments.

So you “work” 41 x 37.5 = 1,537.5

(but obviously, like all teachers you actually work 3000 hours but only get paid for half of them)

He's not a teacher, 9-3:30 less lunchtime and two playtimes isn't 37.5 🙂

No ... not a teacher, but work in a school, support staff, get paid 41 weeks but paid over 12 months, just interested in finding out what it works out to per hour and not sure if I need to add my holiday as I get a paid holiday allowance, I thought it might just be the 'hours' I actually work, so do I include the holiday weeks?

Don’t forget you get paid to work all year which includes holidays.

We do workings based on 37.5 x 52.143
