[#2820604]

So the endless weeks of sleepless nights from the kids finally caught up with me today and totalled my rear bumper reversing into another car. 👿

How much does a new painted bumper go for fitted, prepare me! (08 Honda jazz)

Interestingly the other car was quite aggressive till I went and looked at his tax disc and it ran out last June and he was nice as pie!

There was a website I saw advertised on the tv today. I think it was 247spares.co.uk or something like that. You stick in your car reg and choose the part and get quotes from different people. I HAVEN'T tried it myself so it might be crap.

Cheers, hadn't thought of that. Are bumpers easy to fit?

They mostly just clip on I think. you'll find out when you whip the other one off won't you?

By totalled, do you mean just the plastic or is there some steel under there which is also nackered?!

Second hand can be from about £45 from a scrappy, which would be your cheapest bet if you can get it in your colour. With painting add on what starsh78 said.

OE bumpers bought from a dealer and fitted, I'd guess least £250-300.

You can also get paint code colour matched copycat (non-OE) stuff for some cars which work out a bit cheaper, especially if you fit them yourself.

I went to a scrap yard and picked one up for my astra. Got one for £50.

Get a lift there though and ask for the wrong colour. It was £70 for a blue bumper for my blue astra but £50 for a silver one. Fitted myself no worries.

just done a quick search on the bay and there is loads, surely ul find one in the right colour, even if u wait a couple weeks for one to come along, most of them have postage on.. and at the end of the day if you have to pay someone to fit it itl be cheaper than getting it painted..
i just got one for my c2 locally for £55, removed and fitted it myself, in the right colour!!

Cheers guys. Making me feel a bit better, can't really afford to cop out 400 notes on a new one. Never thought of eBay!
